Choosing the right slime is crucial, as not all slimes are created equal. In this guide, we will evaluate the damage and utility of each slime, helping you determine which ones are best suited for boss fights, slime Legion battles, and overall gameplay. We will present their damage in a chart and provide a tier list for a clearer visual representation of the top-performing slimes.
To ensure accuracy and consistency, we tested the staging damage output of each slime ten times, averaging their damage. All slimes were tested using the same Frog build, known for its reliability and consistency. While the Frog build is not the absolute best, it provides accurate results, making it ideal for this evaluation. For the battles, the maximum HP of the boss was set at 455s in Inferno 1 Stage 6-8, and the results indicate the amount of damage dealt, not the remaining HP after the battle.
Here is the breakdown of each slime’s average damage based on ten battles, which required considerable time and effort to compile. Please consider these results as a reference, as damage alone does not determine a slime’s overall superiority. I will explain this further shortly. However, it is evident from the chart that slimes lacking companion damage or ally damage-related skills tend to yield similar damage output. These slimes focus primarily on attack and rank around 104s per battle, placing them at the lower end in terms of stage damage.
Please refer to the bar graph to choose the ideal slime for your needs. Keep in mind that Hero’s damage estimation is likely accurate, as they surpass Ignis as the top damage dealer. In the late game, if you only have free-to-play slimes, the specific slime you use becomes less important. However, during the early game, Ash Tree or OrnuS are recommended, as their skills make a noticeable difference in damage output.
Moving on to our tier list, we won’t solely base it on damage, as that would relegate ten out of sixteen slimes to the T3, with only six slimes outperforming the rest. Instead, we will consider other factors. Aku finds itself in the T3 due to its lack of utility and useless skill across all game areas. Serpine ranks in the T2, thanks to her highly useful skill for slime Legion battles, providing evasion that enhances survival and stage progression.
Ash Tree secures a spot in the T1, proving valuable in the early game and for free-to-play players, as their skills have a tangible impact on damage output. Cabalis finds itself in the same tier as it offers no significant slime skill or damage, rendering it ineffective. Kroby, in the T2 , is a solid choice if you currently have him, especially if you’re torn between purchasing Ignis or Hero through their passes. Kroby performs admirably in both slime Legion and boss stages.
Melissa joins the T1, slightly behind Kroby in damage but possessing similar overall utility. Diva, although useful for tanking in slime Legion battles, lands in T2 since she won’t be your go-to slime for regular use. Osteon is positioned in the T1 due to his exceptional knockback utility in slime Legion
