Officer Upgrade
- Officer Upgrade is available via [Officer] → [Upgrade].
- You can upgrade your Officer’s level, equipment, tactics, and Officer Soul.
Upgrade
- Increase your Officer’s level using EXP and Copper.
- Upgrading increases the Officer’s HP, ATK, DEF, and Guard.
- Holding down the Upgrade button will repeat the Upgrade consecutively.
- Officers require promotion every 20 levels for additional upgrades.
- For example, an Officer cannot upgrade from Lv. 20 to Lv. 21 before promotion.
- Promotion requires the “Promotion Order” item.
- Ascension increases an Officer’s maximum level.
- If Officers are registered as Pupils in the Musou Hall, they cannot be upgraded.

Tactics
- You can equip, remove, and upgrade tactics.
- Each Officer has an Inherent Tactic, and Inherent Tactics cannot be removed.
- Officers of higher rank have additional slots for Tactics.
- You can equip up to two more Tactics.
- Tactic slots become available when Officers ascend to SR+ and UR+ rank.
- Officers whose initial rank is SSR have one extra slot for Tactics.
- Use the “Recommended Tactics” button to see Tactics suitable for each Officer.
- Use Copper and Tactics Points of the same element to upgrade a Tactic.
- Tactics require breakthrough every 10 levels for additional upgrades.
- E.g., Tactics cannot go from Lv. 10 to Lv. 11 before using breakthrough.
- Breakthrough requires spares of the same Tactic Book or Tactic Breakthrough Books of the same rank.
- Inherent Tactics do not require Breakthrough for upgrades. (Inherent Tactics’ maximum level increases with the Officer’s rarity.)
- When you remove a Tactic, its level will stay the same.
Officer Soul
- You can upgrade seven Officer skills: Damage, Launch, Assault, Knock-Down, Evade, Special, and Musou.
- You can upgrade these skills in order, Damage being the first.
- Upgrade is available for SSR or higher Officers. Officer Souls have four rarities from grade 1 to 4.
- The maximum level and rarity of an Officer Soul increases in accordance with the Officer’s rank.
- Unlock skills by using Officer Soul Stones to increase the Officer Soul’s level.
- You can get Officer Soul Stones from the Daily Challenge – Hero’s Showdown.
- Once an Officer Soul reaches rarity 3, it requires an Officer Soul Stone of the same element.
- After unlocking the Musou skill of the current rarity, you must use Breakthrough to further increase the Officer Soul’s rarity.
- For example, an Officer Soul needs Breakthrough to go from Lv. 30, a rarity 1 Musou skill, to Lv. 31, which increases the Soul rarity to 2, enabling you to upgrade the Damage skill.
Officer Training
Ascension
- Use multiple copies of the same Officer to elevate that Officer’s rarity.
- At some rarities, you can use other Officers of the same rank and element as ascension materials.
- “Ascend All” will ascend all Officers who can ascend.
- In Ascend Preview, you can see the ascension process, number of Officers you need, and new stats after ascending.
- Ascension varies by element.
- Note that:
- R Officers cannot ascend to the next rarity.
- SR Officers can ascend their rarity up until MR with no stars
- SSR Officers can ascend their rarity up until MR with 5 stars
Musou Hall
- You can synchronize Pupil Officers’ level with that of the Master Officer.
- The Master Officer is the Officer that has the third-highest level among your forces.
- The Master Officer is selected automatically.
- You can use Bonus Coins or Gold to increase the number of Pupil slots available.
- When you remove an Officer from a Pupil slot, they will return to their original level.
- Once you empty the Pupil slot, you need to wait for 24 hours before you can register a new Pupil Officer.
- You cannot upgrade Officers who are registered as pupils before you remove them from the Pupil slot.
Retirement
- You can retire your Officers.
- When Officers retire, you no longer own them, and their equipment and tactics will be automatically unequipped.
- You will receive any upgrade materials that were used on that Officer.
- Retiring Officers earns you Tiger Emblems.
- Exchange Tiger Emblems for Officers and Officer Fragments in the Tiger Emblem Shop.
- You can retire up to 10 Officers at a time.
- Use “Quick Select” to automatically select a batch of lower rarity Officers.
- If “Auto Retire R Officers” is enabled, R Officers will automatically retire when you obtain them via recruitment.
- You cannot retire natural SSR Officers until they reach MR ★5.
